You can dictate direct on to your PC or Mac with NCH Software’s Express Dictate - sister program to our favourite transcription program Express Scribe.
It is a fairly well-specified program which has full insertion facilities for complete flexibility when you’re dictating and you can use a USB foot pedal to control some functions. You will need a microphone - get our USB multimedia headset with dual earpieces and boom microphone at just £35.
NCH also supply Pocket Dictate app for iPhone.
Express Dictate can be evaluated at no cost, but a licence for permanent use currently costs $70 US (August 2010.)
