There are three separate parts - the wide centre pedal for play and pause, and the two sides for rewind and fast forward.
To use the pedal for transcription you need to use a transcription program with it - there are many around, but by far the most popular is Express Scribe, an effective program from NCH Software in Australia. Our Infinity pedal works with Express Scribe and comes with full instructions to set it up with Express Scribe - some other suppliers give no instructions at all.
